Looking to the future

The towers were designed to bring believers closer to heaven, simply being there is pure delight. But also to scan the horizon. Something that cities who want to ensure their future should do, and do well.

Perhaps that is why Salamanca, the "Alto Soto de torres" (tall copse of towers) as Unamuno described it, survived the Lisbon earthquake, boasts two universities, played a vital role in the discovery of the Americas and has survived its fair share of  crises and wars.

And that is why by climbing the towers of Salamanca is a singular experience, a breath of fresh air, seeing the world and getting a pleasant insight into our own futures.
