Salamanca Hosts the XXXVII National Confraternity Meeting

Salamanca becomes these days a meeting point for hundreds of confraternity members from different parts of Spain due to the XXXVII National Confraternity Meeting, an event that brings together training, culture, heritage and, above all, fraternity and faith. Under the motto «Witnesses of the love born from your cross», the Meeting offers an extensive program of presentations, discussion panels, exhibitions, concerts, cultural visits and various religious acts, which will allow participants to know and share the reality of Salamanca's Holy Week. One of the central moments will be the extraordinary procession on Saturday, September 26, in which different images of Salamanca's Holy Week will parade through the city streets, offering a public manifestation of faith and tradition and bringing their confraternity heritage closer to residents of Salamanca and visitors.
The program also includes the Prayer and Floral Offering to the Virgen de la Vega, patron saint of Salamanca, as well as different tours through the canonical seats and spaces linked to the city's Holy Week.

During these days, Salamanca wants to show not only the richness of its confraternity heritage, but also the vitality of confraternities, brotherhoods, and congregations that, from faith, work throughout the year in the service of the Church and society.
