An Invented Journey. Tour of the Campocerrado Collection

Under the title An Invented Journey, a selection of works from the Campocerrado Collection is presented. Linked since 2021 to the Foundation of the same name, it retains the family character that has defined its trajectory. This implies total freedom when choosing, while maintaining as a common thread the promotion of mutual understanding between rural and urban.

The freedom of choice has led to the formation of a collection from which we have selected about 50 works covering all techniques, from paintings to sound art pieces. The latter are the result of the collaboration between the Campocerrado Foundation and artists who have worked on the dehesa (Mediterranean pastureland) as a fundamental theme. The dehesa, as a natural and economic space, has always been at the core of the Foundation's activity in the region of Ciudad Rodrigo.

Mainly composed of 21st-century works, this selection of pieces aims to be a journey not without surprises and unexpected turns, like any good trip. From there, the unorthodox architecture of DA2 invites visitors to seek affinities, unexpected travel companions, generating spaces for dialogue and confrontation between the works and seeking the complicity of the viewer when interpreting them.
