George "Samson" Schmitt (Creutzwald, France, 1979) is a Manouche Jazz guitarist, son of the celebrated violinist and guitarist Dorado Schmitt. He learned to play the guitar with his father and, by the age of twelve, was already performing at international festivals and concerts.
He has been part of various groups such as "Les Enfants de Django" or "The Django All Stars" with whom he has toured half the world, performing in prestigious venues and Festivals, such as the Hollywood Bowl or the Kennedy Center.
He has participated in about thirty recording sessions, and appears in the documentaries Forbach Forever (2014) and Forback Swing (2019), in addition to acting, in the role of Reinhardt's friend, in the acclaimed film Django (2017).
Born in 1978, Ludovic Beier learned to play the accordion following in his father's footsteps, in the purest French tradition of the instrument. But he soon discovered "another music" when he had the opportunity to listen to Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, George Benson or Chick Corea: since then, his path as a Jazz accordionist had no return.
