Oscar Peterson is, along with Ahmad Jamal and Bill Evans, one of the great idols of veteran Genoese pianist Dado Moroni. His most recent project, "Dado's Oscars", offers the audience his contemporary interpretation of the two trios that made the late Canadian pianist famous.
During his extensive career, Dado has had the opportunity to work with some of the great Jazz legends and also to perform in a duo with some of his most legendary colleagues, such as Oscar Peterson or Hank Jones. He is a pianist respected by all his colleagues on both sides of the Atlantic and in 2007 he received the award for "Best Jazz Artist" granted by the "Italian Jazz Awards" association.
Dado Moroni has joined his talent with three other musicians who also love and understand Oscar's spirit and language: the Genoese Aldo Zunino, on double bass, a true force of nature, capable of creating great propulsive bass lines along with a rare sense of swing; the Australian guitarist Dave Blenkhorn, a man who perfectly understands how to interact with the piano, creating wonderful counterpoint lines and grooving as if there were no tomorrow; and one of the greatest European percussionists, the British Steve Brown, who has worked alongside some of the most extraordinary musicians in Jazz history.
