The Carrión group was founded in Dueñas (Palencia) in 1996. It spreads our traditional music, melodies that were almost forgotten, indigenous rhythms, our own. They reinvent, reinterpret these songs, decorating and harmonically and melodically embracing them so they are easy on the ears of all audiences.
In their concerts, they alternate traditional instruments with classical or contemporary instruments. They released their latest album in 2025, "Báilalo" (Dance it), in which they incorporate a carefully selected collection of themes from our region, gathered from songbooks of Castile and León: themes from Palencia, Zamora, León, Salamanca, and Portugal. After several years of maturation, this album showcases the beauty of the lyrics, melodies, and rhythms that have been orally transmitted in our villages.
